Envision a MIRACLE…
from the UMC Council of Bishops…
COMING THIS FALL (AUGUST 30 – OCTOBER 11)
We have an opportunity to do something within our local congregations that has a global impact for generations to come! We are invited to be miracle workers. A worldwide initiative is uniting 30,000 congregations and revealing a miracle.

1. What is the initiative about?
Fewer than 5% of pastors outside the U.S. hold a master’s degree in theology, compared with more than 71% in the U.S. Outside the U.S., there are vast geographical areas, multiple languages, huge distances to a Methodist seminary, limited financial resources, few trained teachers, and small libraries. Most candidates for ministry are trained in institutions in Africa, Europe, and the Philippines. God is calling. Let’s help.
2. How can my church help?
Together, United Methodists around the world will raise up new generations of clergy leaders through a one-time worldwide offering on Miracle Sunday, October 11, 2026. Your church is invited to help.
3. How can this initiative help my church?
There is a 6-week worship and small-group series that invites congregations to journey together through the heart of Christian discipleship. Each week, we will explore a core dimension of discipleship. Your church can deepen its witness, spirituality, and join God’s mission with bold love, joyful service, and courageous leadership.
4. How can I find out more?
